Local Government and Oxfam websites shine at National Digital Awards
Two Annertech websites have been honoured at the 2025 Digital Business Ireland National Digital Awards: Local Government Ireland won the New Website of the Year category and Oxfam Ireland was the runner-up in the Digital Impact Of The Year category.
The National Digital Awards recognise the best digital, e-commerce and innovation businesses in Ireland. The 2024/2025 awards ceremony were held at Twenty Two Dublin on 27 March.
Managed Services Director Anthony Lindsay was in attendance to collect both awards.
“We all work in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry, where the social impact of what we do can change just as quickly as the advance of the technology which makes it all possible," said Anthony, whose team ensures both websites are maintained and perform optimally.
"It's especially important therefore to have recognition like this from industry peers. It's a degree of industry validation of our work, which is invaluable. Everybody wants to do good work, but it's nice to be told ‘yes, you've done good work’,” he said.

LocalGov.ie is the digital hub of local government in Ireland, and is managed by the Local Government Management Agency.
Its digital home lays the foundation for an exciting future for the sector as eventually all shared services will be built as a subdomain of LocalGov.ie.

“I am thrilled that localgov.ie has won best new website at the National Digital Awards,” said Project Manager Emily McLaughlin, who steered the project from beginning to end.
“I really enjoyed collaborating with the entire team and I’m so happy their superb work has been recognised.”
Digital Impact Of The Year runner-up: Oxfam Ireland

Oxfam Ireland was named as runner-up in the Digital Impact of the Year category. As part of the awards submission we demonstrated the impact that oxfamireland.org has on the organisation, and explained how it forms a big part of Oxfam Ireland’s overall strategy.
The website not only supports the delivery of a digital strategy for Oxfam Ireland’s trading network but raises awareness, mobilises action, and makes it easy for users to sign up to newsletters and donate.

“Our partnership with Annertech helps further innovation and success at Oxfam Ireland. Being recognised as runner-up in these awards proves the strength of our collaboration and shared excellence,” said Colin Carey, Director of Innovation at Oxfam Ireland.
Conclusion
This isn’t the first time Annertech projects have received National Digital Awards. Last year, the Qualifax website won the Education Website of the Year award, and the National Library of Ireland website was the runner-up in the Digital Accessibility category.
Inland Fisheries Ireland was the runner-up in the Non-Profit Website of the Year in the 2022 National Digital Awards, and Stella Power, Annertech’s managing director, won the Women in Digital category in the 2021 edition!
“We had such a blast at the event, and we were delighted that the hard work behind these two websites was acknowledged,” said Anthony.
“A huge thank you to everyone who was involved with the National Digital Awards 2025.”
