Continuing on from our success in various awards last year, Annertech are delighted to share that our work has yet again been shortlisted for more awards - this time the Digital Media Awards 2017.
With the new year fast approaching, we look back on an amazing year in Annertech. With new sites launched, multiple awards won and a rapidly growing team, here are some of the more notable moments for us in 2016.
Fresh on the heels of winning the Agency of the Year award at the recent Realex Web Awards 2016 and three other awards for Ireland.ie, we're now delighted to announce that one of our first Drupal 8 websites, Glanbia Nutritionals took home the Best in Business2Business award at the eir Spiders last night.
We've barely had a chance to catch our breath after winning the Agency of the Year award at the recent Realex Web Awards 2016 (and three other awards for Ireland.ie too!), and now we're thrilled to announce that we've also been shortlisted for Large Agency of the Year award at the this year's eir Spiders.
We knew Ireland.ie (built by Annertech on Drupal) was a special website. The design is beautiful thanks to the amazing work of BigO Media, the content, media, and experience is second to none thanks to the the team in the Ireland.ie office at the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht. The implementation is without flaw (if we say so ourselves!).
DrupalCon Dublin is just around the corner (since I live in Ireland, I mean that literally!). DRUPALCON: HEAR ME ROAR! (or at least speak, along with some other Annertechies). At DrupalCon we'll be speaking on a number of topics (interesting aside: we're the only Irish agency with any speakers at this year's DrupalCon). Here's a quick roundup of our talks and why you won't want to miss them:
Yesterday all the accepted sessions for DrupalCon Dublin were announced, and we are delighted to report that 5 of our 8 session proposals were accepted! With Acquia being the only company receiving more acceptances, we are extremely proud of our achievement.
Ever since Andrew joined Annertech, he's been a champion of accessible web design and has ensured that accessibility has remained a key focus area in everything we do. That combined with his dedication to open source and contributing back to the community, meant that we were not surprised when he was asked if he'd be interested in becoming a Drupal core accessibility maintainer.
The countdown to DrupalCon Dublin is fast reaching zero. With just over two months left to go, the call for session proposals closed last week, with speakers to find out in the coming weeks if their sessions have been accepted or not. This year Annertech has a record breaking 8 sessions proposed!
The ICAD awards were held earlier this month in Vicar Street in Dublin, and we're delighted to say that Ireland.ie took home the Silver Bell in the Website Design category.
