Digital Government Conference 2025, here we come
It’s almost time for the eolas Digital Government 2025 conference, which takes place on 13 February, and we’ll be there both as a sponsor and as a speaker.
The popular Digital Government conference is one of our favourite calendar events of the year. The public sector is an important industry, and public sector websites bridge the gap between these essential services and the people they’re meant to reach.
This year, Annertech is sponsoring the event and we will have a booth. But we’ll also be chatting about LocalGov Drupal – what it is and how websites built on LocalGov Drupal are helping councils to better serve their constituents.
Our Director of Delivery Mike King will be at Croke Park on Thursday, 13 February, to introduce people to LocalGov Drupal, before handing over to Ruth Maher, Project Lead for eDevelopment for Tipperary County Council. Ruth was one of leaders of the team that created Tipperary County Council’s website.
This website was the first in Ireland to be built on LocalGov Drupal. Ruth will speak about the council’s experience of moving over to this platform.

Tipperarycoco.ie was the first Irish website built on LocalGov Drupal.
Mike and Ruth’s presentation, “LocalGov Drupal: Great for councils; great for citizens”, will take place during the second session of the day, from 11:20am to 1:15pm.
“We’re really excited about engaging with people about LocalGov Drupal, because we’ve seen the benefits that councils get from pooling their resources and using open source software for their websites,” says Mike, who was the project manager for many of Annertech’s council websites.
“We’ve been working with councils for many years now, and count some of Ireland’s largest councils among our clients. The Irish government’s Local Government Digital and ICT Strategy 2030 will transform local government online services. We’re excited about helping to change the face of local authority services, and this conference is the perfect opportunity to make that happen.”
Annertech’s goal is to deliver projects using open-source solutions that meet and exceed the needs of the end user, and our vast experience and skills ensure that councils deliver the ambitious digital experiences that their constituents deserve.
Digital Government 2025 brings together key stakeholders to gain insight into the government’s objectives for digital transformation and hear directly from those responsible for driving this forward. You can find out more about the Digital Government Conference and the programme on their website.
