Trócaire - Redesign
Trócaire is the official overseas development agency of the Catholic Church of Ireland. Set up by the Irish Catholic Bishops in 1973, they work with amazing people to bring about positive and lasting changes in some of the world's poorest places.
In 2009, Annertech migrated Trócaire's site from CMS Made Simple to Drupal. Two years on and it was time for a stunning new design. Trócaire's own in-house designer, Keith, provided Annertech with the PSDs, which we then implemented as a new theme on the site. Wherever possible we made use of modern best practices, with extensive use of cutting edge CSS, allowing it to be more maintainable and adaptable to a wide variety of browsers. Particular attention was also paid to the site's usability and accessibility and the site is now WCAG 2.0 AA compliant.
The breath-taking newly redesigned site was launched in August 2011 and subsequently shortlisted for not one, but two, Eircom Golden Spider awards - "Best Charitable & Non-Profit Organisations" and "Best Online Campaign"!
