NCBI have been using Drupal for a number of years, but hadn't done a major version upgrade in some time. We took the opportunity to rebuild the site in Drupal 7, and migrated all of the content to the new site.
- Implement the new design as a Drupal theme.
- Develop a custom donation system which is fully integrated into the site.
- Build a new shopping cart system using Drupal Commerce - migrating the content from a separate non-Drupal shopping cart system.
- Develop a two-tier editorial system, allowing delegating of content editing.
- Integrate the website with Google's Custom Search.
In addition, we created a new module for taking payments using Realex in Drupal Commerce, and made further updates to the Styleswitcher module.
Both of these were contributed back to the Drupal community.
